Driver Education

The Clark County School District’s driver education program provides students with opportunities to learn the necessary skills to become a safe and responsible driver.

Nearly all Nevada beginning drivers under 18 must complete a driver education course. CCSD’s classroom program provides instruction in the following areas:

  • Driver responsibility and licensing
  • Signs, signals, and roadway markings
  • The driving task
  • Vision and space management
  • Natural laws, and car control, in adverse situations
  • Mixing with traffic
  • Rural and expressway driving
  • Personal factors influencing operator performance
  • Sharing the road and handling emergencies
  • Buying and maintaining vehicle
