The Clark County School District’s driver education program provides students with opportunities to learn the necessary skills to become a safe and responsible driver.
Nearly all Nevada beginning drivers under 18 must complete a driver education course. CCSD’s classroom program provides instruction in the following areas:
- Driver responsibility and licensing
- Signs, signals, and roadway markings
- The driving task
- Vision and space management
- Natural laws, and car control, in adverse situations
- Mixing with traffic
- Rural and expressway driving
- Personal factors influencing operator performance
- Sharing the road and handling emergencies
- Buying and maintaining vehicle
