07 Jan April 2022 Bristlecone Storytelling Festival
K-12 Library Services invites Kindergarten-12 teacher-librarians, Grades 4-12 teachers, and students to participate in the Bristlecone Storytelling Festival from April 21, 2022, through April 28, 2022. Storytelling engages students in the speaking and listening standards.
The Bristlecone Storytelling Festival begins in classrooms. Teachers schedule individual classroom or school library festivals that provide students with the opportunity to practice storytelling for an audience. Classes select students who are “festival ready” to participate in a schoolwide storytelling festival. Participating schools will select three stories to be performed at a District festival. The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s theatres and Virgin Valley Elementary School will host the District festivals.
