23 Jan 2020 Bristlecone Storytelling Festival
The 2020 Clark County School District Bristlecone Storytelling Festival will take place from April 23, 2020 through April 30, 2020. K-12 Library Services invites K-12 teacher-librarians, Grades 4-12 teachers, and their students, to participate in storytelling.
The Bristlecone Storytelling Festival begins in classrooms. Storytelling is a wonderful way for students to engage in the Speaking and Listening Standards. Teachers schedule individual classroom or school library festivals that provide students with the opportunity to practice storytelling for an audience. Classes select students who are “festival ready” to participate in a school-wide storytelling festival. Students who participate in the school’s storytelling festival select two school stories to be performed at a District Storytelling Festival. The Las Vegas Clark County Library District’s theaters and Virgin Valley Elementary School will host the District festivals.
See the informational flyer for more information, including the festival locations, dates, and times.
