Knight American History Essay Contest:
Students write an essay on an event, person, philosophy, or ideal associated with the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, or the framing of the United States Constitution. The first place Nevada winner will receive $300 and the second place Nevada winner will receive $100. The first place national winner will receive $2,000, a winning recognition certificate, airfare and one night hotel for two at the SAR 119th Annual Congress in Atlanta.

Due to lack of participation, the Nevada Society may discontinue this program. Please submit your essay!

Essays must be postmarked by December 31, 2009. Winners will be notified by March 2010.
