A balanced mathematics program prepares confident students for success in life.  The Clark County School District’s Curriculum and Professional Development Division seeks to achieve this by fostering enduring understanding of mathematical concepts, encouraging mathematical thinking and problems solving, and by helping to connect mathematics to real life situations.

Goals: 

• Student mastery of mathematical concepts and skills
• Student demonstration of problem solving, connections, communication, and reasoning in mathematics
• Student application of mathematical skills into real life situations

• November 21: MathCounts Coaches’ Clinic, CPD, Room 118
• December 8: Navigating Through Probability and Geometry Professional Development Training
• November 18, December 1 and 8: Common Mathematics Semester Assessments Administration Information Sessions designed to provide information regarding the January 2009 administration of the common assessments in middle and high schools.
